Tanya Pushkine was born and raised in Brussels, Belgium to an American born musical conductor and German/Belgian painter. She moved to the US and was soon accepted to The Juilliard School’s Drama Division.  Immediately upon graduation, Tanya was selected to play Mozart’s wife in Amadeus on Broadway, followed by roles on television, stage and film in both Europe and the US.

After a successful 10-year career, and the birth of two children, Tanya had to change paths and re-invent herself.  Coming from the entertainment world, she capitalized on her relationships with celebrities and began to manage projects, events and personal publicity for several high-profile clients. She eventually joined public relations and event agencies, which then led to her first foray into the corporate world.

LVMH recruited Tanya to become the Cultural and Philanthropic Director for the newly created Sephora in the States.  She pioneered this program by curating exhibits, partnerships and events with museums, ballet companies, private collectors, fashion designers, artists, and many more. In addition, Tanya created and launched the first cause-marketing campaign for the brand, positioning Sephora/LVMH as a key philanthropic leader. Choosing Operation Smile as the beneficiary organization, Tanya created successful revenue producing product-based programs raising millions of dollars in less than one year.  In addition, she implemented global employee volunteer programs whereby lottery selected individuals were given the opportunity of a life time to witness two week missions in third world countries.

Tanya went on to roles at L’Oreal Professional Products as Director of Business Development, Loyalty Marketing, Education and Public Relations, followed by Barnes & Noble, where she headed the Philanthropic/Community Relations programs in over 1000 stores. Tanya devised programs based on severe illiteracy in the US by engaging well known authors to participate nationally in what turned out to be the most successful cause-related initiative in the brand’s history.

In 2006, Tanya joined Clarins as Vice President of Public Relations and Philanthropy. In her 8 years there, she managed many brands under the larger umbrella, Tanya was credited with giving a new life and gaining visibility and awareness the company never had. Among some of her many accomplishments, she spearheaded a massive global partnership with Beyoncé and Thierry Mugler, secured endorsement contracts with Naomi Watts, Eva Mendes, Oscar Pistorious and Enrique Iglesisas, and produced a documentary on the Swarovski heritage in Austria for HSN.  Tanya managed Clarins’ existing long term global philanthropic program originally started in the early 1950s, by instilling new blood into the brand, at which time Prince Charles declared it one of the most sustainable, green companies to date. She went on to create an entirely new platform in partnership with Lauren Bush Lauren’s FEED initiative, which she launched successfully in 16 countries. One of the highlights of this endeavor was a concert produced at Lincoln Center with performers including NY Philharmonic conductor, Alan Gilbert, pianist Christophe Eschenbach, John Legend, and more with a special appearance by President Bill Clinton. Tanya also created the first ever “Gift with Purpose”, replacing the traditional cosmetic model of “Gift with Purchase.” In the 8 years at Clarins, Tanya achieved media rankings in publicity the brand had never seen. She spearheaded the Double Serum launch, the most successful, award-winning launch in Clarins’ history.  This achieved in #1 position in 2013 media rankings . Tanya created the social media department long before most beauty brands even considered this new platform.  She drove the social media strategy, which was recognized as a leader in the industry. Each year, digital press coverage overage rose to exponentially.

In 2015, Tanya joined Nestle Skin Health as Head of Communications, tasked with conceiving and initiating a strategic plan for the new venture to launch 10 global innovation and educations hubs to advance skin health.  Responsibilities included the creation of brand identity, positioning, developing a digital and social media strategy, producing a branding video, implementing event programming, including conferences, and a speaker series, as well as developing a strategic plan to drive all communications-internal, external and digital.

Tanya is now consulting with several companies in the luxury, cosmetic and fashion world, as well as for a major artist and two dermatologists.

Tanya is an internationally recognized global communications and brand strategist with over 20 years conceiving, directing and producing major initiatives, events and philanthropic programs. She is an extremely passionate person, whose artistic background fuels her creative, out of the box thinking, thereby offering a client, brand or company a well versed, educated, cultured and dedicated partner.
